Gilda T. Siewert nee Longo 84 passed away suddenly on Dec 1, 2013. Gilda was born in Hammonton, NJ and was a lifelong resident in Egg Harbor City, NJ. She was married to the late Helmut Siewert for over 59 years. She was employed as a seamstress for the Egg Harbor City Coat Factory for many years, after then she was employed by Joes of Maplewood as the salad maker.She was a member of OLPH parish (St. Nicholas) in Egg Harbor City for 60 years. She enjoyed being with her Bible Study and Rosary Society friends and neighbors. She looked foward to her monthly casino bus trips.After the passing of her husband Helmut, she then went to live with her daughter Carol and her husband Richard Mursheno in Mays landing. Gilda enjoyed baking and everyone loved her cakes and pies. She is survived by daughter Carol and Richard Murcheno of Mays Landing and son William and Dorothy Siewert of Egg Harbor Township, her sister Catherine Raffellei (Mario), brother David Longo (Joanne). She loved and took pride in her grandchildren Christina and Richard Jr Mursheno, and her step grandsons Joseph and Christopher Scull as well as there as thier wives and children and many adored nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her favorite dogs Cassie, Ruby and Sammie.
