Isabel Barbetto

Isabel passed away peacefully on March 27, 2015 surrounded by loving family. She was born in Malvern, England to Beatrice (nee Dewfield) and Lewis Thomas. At age 18 Isabel met her husband Arthur when he visited a pub owned by her father. At that time Arthur was a GI stationed in England during WWII. She arrived in New York City aboard the Queen Mary. Isabel has lived in Egg Harbor City for 70 years and raised her family there. She was a longtime parishioner of the Egg Harbor City Moravian Church.She loved traveling with her family and introducing them to new adventures including camping, cruisingand trips back to England. Isabel was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting with the Lafayette Quilters. She also was a member of rain makers camping club and War Brides Association. She loved square dancing and country line dancing and never missed an oportunity to travel. Isabel was the epitome of a lady.She is predeceased by her husband Arthur, parents and great granddaughter Brailyn. She is lovingly survived by her brother in England, Donald(Mary)Thomas; her four children Rodney (Diana) Barbetto;her four children Rodney(Diana) Barbetto, Maurine (Jermoe)Carrozzino, Karen(Gary) Owen, Lynne (Guy)Kienzel, 7 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
