Lauretta Hesse

Hesse, Lauretta Catherine, 83, of Egg Harbor City, has passed away July 13, 2017. Lauretta was born on March 31, 1934 in Bronx, New York; at age 8 her family moved to Egg Harbor City. Lauretta attended St. Nicholas grammar school and graduated from Egg Harbor City High, class of 1953. For many years she worked at Kaufman Wagner and Jennings accounting firm as a secretary. During elections, Lauretta worked as a pole worker in Egg Harbor City. Lauretta enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed going to yard sales with her husband of 62 years. Lauretta was predeceased by her parents Della and Leo Huebner Sr. and her brother Leo Jr. She is survived by her husband, Richard Hesse Sr.; four children, Richard Jr. (Kim) of Egg Harbor City, Larry (Cindy) of Port Republic, Karen Young (Gary) of Orlando Florida, and John (Corinne) of Laureldale and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Samantha, Johnny, Tyler, Kyle and Jason. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, sister in laws and brother in laws. The family would like to thank Atlantic Care Hospice, with a special thanks to Connie, Terry and Gail for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Atlantic Care Hospice, American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Foundation. Services are private.
