Lloyd Nelson died at the age of 91 on January 30, 2016 in Galloway, NJ after a brief illness. He was born on July 15 1924 in Kidville, North Dakota. It was a booming town that is now a corn field. After the war, he married the love of his life, Blanche to whom he remained married to for 65 plus years. They raised 3 children Barbara, David, and Tom. In 1954, he began a career with the FBI where he worked on many interesting cases including the Patti Hearst case. He retired in 1979. He is predeceased by his father Nels Nelson, his mother Elida Erickson Nelson, his wife Blanche, his son David. Lloyd is survived by two children, Barbara and her husband Jeff Haas, Tom and his wife Jackie Nelson, his grandchildren David Nelson, Amanda Garcia, Kevin Haas, Eric Haas, Greg Haas, Taylor Haas and four great grandchildren, Jeffery, Trevor, Colby, and Jasper. Lloyd lived a long life with no regrets and at the age of 91, he still got around without a walker or cane. The service for Lloyd will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 328 E Great Creek Road, Galloway, NJ., where the viewing will begin at 9:00 am with the service to follow at 10:00 am.
