Louis Giacobbe a/k/a Steve, Known to all whom loved him as "Sonny" After his dedication and service in the U.S. Navy, he had a career in credit banking Steve “Sonny” Giacobbe in his early days had a career in Credit Banking. He worked for Abraham & Strauss and continued his career at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he retired. He spent time outside of his work with family and friends. He loved to travel, especially on cruises, but cruising through life is what he did best. He loved living lavishly and embracing moments he could celebrate and of course, dress to impress! While he was a social butterfly, his social circle was select and made up of only those individuals whom he cared for deeply His presence was intoxicating. His very close friends and family always felt happy and comfortable around him; he had warm welcoming presence that never faded. Like his warm welcoming presence that never faded, neither did his commitment to old fashioned manners and chivalries. He always was a gentleman and treated people with respect. He also appreciated that treatment in return. Sonny loved walks on the beach, relaxing in the sand and working on his tan. He indulged in shopping, dining, and of course, Broadway productions in New York City. He had a passion for the arts and incredible sense of fashion for himself and others. Often, he could be found pencil sketching outfits for the woman in his life whom he loved to help dress, and those he thought would wear his designs well. He admired beautiful people, especially the old movie stars. Sonny loved reading, watching the old flicks and writing. This is especially true as he left behind a personal manuscript, and to his credit, established copyrights to the manuscript by utilizing the resources through the library of congress (all on his own and typed on a manual typewriter many years ago). Other life enjoyments were his days instructing dance at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios and obtaining his certification in wine tasting. He enjoyed cooking (for himself and others), being festive, and decorating his apartment and mantle with holiday garnishing. He loved a good party, along with a stiff drink! He took care of others, but more importantly took care of himself. For someone his age, this is an admirable trait and for that we are also grateful. Sonny was a beautiful person and will be missed by his sister Annie Vita, the many nieces and nephews he leaves behind as well as his close friends. God Bless our beloved Uncle Sonny....may he continue to watch over us, guide us and may he R.I.P.
