Marguerite J Wejnert

October 17, 1931 - April 20, 2021

Marguerite (Chickie) J. Wejnert (nee Bade) 89 of Absecon went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 20, 2021 after a brief illness. Marguerite was born on October 17, 1931 in Jersey City and resided throughout her life in Ridgefield, Toms River and Absecon. Marguerite was an active member of the Catholic church throughout her life, as well as a 29-year member of 3rd order Carmelites St. Justin. She was devoted to her daily prayers, offerings and her ministry to bring others closer to the faith and to know Jesus. To the ones who loved her and those who were blessed to be loved by her she was a treasured daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend. Marguerite was a true renaissance woman, with talents that spanned across many areas such as cooking, writing, painting, coloring, crocheting, reading, and using her IPad. Her truest talent was being there for others with daily phone calls to her loved ones. Marguerite was predeceased by parents Richard and Theresa Bade, her husband of 61 years Louis R. Wejnert Jr., her children Louis R. Wejnert III, Claire Wejnert, and Richard Wejnert, and her sister Barbara Gnirrep. Marguerite is survived by her daughters Carol Wejnert (Mary McNally), Claudia Ratzlaff (Steven Ratzlaff), her daughters-in-law Maryann Wejnert and Karyn Wejnert, her eight grandchildren, her five great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. A Catholic mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday May 1st at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave, Absecon, NJ 08201. In lieu of flowers, Marguerite has requested memorial contributions be made to Autism Speaks Charity. Arrangements by the Lowenstein-Saraceno Funeral Home.
