Maryann Pagano
March 21, 1934 - November 21, 2021
I am saddened to say that unfortunately, my Mother, MaryAnn Pagano was called to heaven this past Sunday, Nov 21st at 1pm; after her long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. My Mother was the kindest, warmest, loving, and most accepting individual that I’ve ever known. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was always willing to help, whether it be offering great advice or just a shoulder to cry on. She had such great personal style and a quiet dignity that not even Alzheimer’s could not take from her. She LOVED music and was always the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave. She instilled in my Sister and I to always be our own person, think for ourselves, not follow the crowd and to accept people for who they are. I owe my Mom and Dad a huge debt of gratitude. To be brought up in such a loving, accepting and nonjudgmental environment is a blessing; since I know many people don’t have this with their own families. While my heart is truly broken, I take comfort in knowing that my Dad was there waiting for her with open arms and is happy to be reunited with his high school sweetheart and in his words “my sweetie pie” and my Sister has her Mom back. There will always be a hole in my heart but I am so thankful to have had you in my life. I know you are up there dancing; your spirit is now free. Until I see you again, love you Mom! Rest in peace.
