Michael Leone
February 2, 1934 - February 18, 2021
Michael “Mikey” Anthony Leone Loving brother, dearest friend, “Mikey” Leone passed away peacefully, with no regrets for this life that he lived, on February 16, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mikey was the middle child of Maria and Pietro Leone. He was known for his robust frame and physical strength, yet his heart was simple and pure, gentle and kind. His humble character drew people of all kinds close to him. Mikey enjoyed sitting outside on a hot sunny day, drinking Colt 45 and talking to anyone who would listen. He most often reminisced about his childhood, growing up in Brooklyn and Brentwood, where he spent many summer days with his younger brother Anthony. The two became inseparable and Mikey, in many ways, became the self-appointed guardian of his much younger brother, always watching out for him, protecting him, staying by his side and sticking closer than glue. The young lives of these two inseparable brothers was filled with crabbing and bike riding, hiking on unknown trails and attending many movies together each year on Anthony’s Birthday. “Uncle Mikey” was loved and will be missed by his niece, Anne Marie and three nephews, Peter, Carmine and Richie Leone. His mellow character will always remain one of his most memorable traits. We honor Mikey, for his courageous life, for never giving up, for remaining true to himself, for never asking anyone for anything…for being a faithful son, brother and uncle. We honor his life on earth, yet know that he is crowned in heaven with 20/20 vision….and oh, what a beautiful sight it is up there as he roams the pathways of heaven with Jesus and his loved ones. We will see you again, “Mikey”. We see your smile and we will see you again. Our Love Always.
